Our client is InSearch of a hands-on Payroll Manager to oversee payroll processing for multiple locations and manage a team of payroll specialists. This position performs a high volume of data entry and multi-state payroll processing on a bi-weekly basis, including payroll tax filing. The ideal candidate is an organized, dependable, and detail-oriented individual.
Compensation $65,000-85,000 annually
Responsibilities
- Mentor and manage payroll specialists and participate in processing payroll to ensure accurate and timely processing of salaries, taxes, garnishments, and benefits
- Responsible for tax administration, including calculating and filing accurate and timely payment and reporting of payroll taxes
- Reconcile withholding, unemployment, and other payroll related tax returns
- Stay update-to-date on payroll best practices, laws, and regulations to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax requirements
- Prepare month-end journal entries and assist with month-end closing duties pertaining to payroll
- Streamline payroll processing procedures to improve efficiency
- Manage payroll audits, prepare reports
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of current supervisory experience and multi-state payroll processing required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel needed and Paycom experience preferred
- Experience with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) filing a PLUS
