Our client is InSearch for a Payroll/Accounting Assistant to join team. This newly created role provides endless growth opportunities. Responsible for performing a variety of duties pertaining to accounting, bookkeeping and project work. This role demands high attention to detail with a strong working knowledge and understanding of accounting and bookkeeping practices and regulation.

Compensation: $40,000 – $55,000 Annually

Responsibilities

  • Assist with processing accounts receivable functions: invoicing, cash applications, deposits, and business-to-business collections.
  • Audit client account details to maintain accuracy and appropriate billing per negotiated terms.
  • Effectively use reporting to track aged receivables and take appropriate actions.
  • Audit weekly timesheets, enter payroll hours into Paycom, and process expense reports.
  • Assist the Accounting Manager and Payroll department with various accounting and payroll processing functions.
  • Maintain exceptional customer service resulting in a prompt and professional outcome.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of billing and payroll experience required
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Advanced level skills in Microsoft Excel needed
  • Experience with QuickBooks and/or Paycom a plus
  • Ability to organize and prioritize independently and effectively
