Mechanical Engineer Manager

Play a leading role in mechanical scope definition and design with primary responsibilities associated with the mechanical design in a process facility.

Interface with Clients, vendors, construction administrators, and project team.

Design equipment layouts and piping design.

Be responsible for quality and delivery of construction documentation – specifications, equipment layouts, HVAC design, dust collection design, and piping design.

Help specify process/mechanical equipment including pressure vessels, atmospheric tanks, pumps, and heat exchangers.

Specify material handling equipment including conveyors, pneumatic conveying systems, and dust collection.

Perform and document technical design reviews with other disciplines on the project team to produce the highest level of quality.

Intimate knowledge of building codes.

Direct and manage other Mechanical Engineers, Drafters & Designers.

Act as mentor for Mechanical Engineers with less experience.

Requirements:

B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering

8-12 years experience

Previous experience in power/mechanical systems, process systems, hydraulics and motor controls

Experience with programmable logic controllers, programming and networking of control systems is a plus

Experience with MS Windows based operating systems and applications

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with Clients and in-house support staff

Professional Licensure or desire to obtain

Previous consulting experience is preferred
