Senior Controls Engineer

Senior Controls Engineer for projects in industrial and processing facilities. Applicant must be capable of being the Lead Controls Engineer on projects ranging from $5K to $5M. Play a leading role in the scope definition and design with primary responsibilities of Control System & Instrument Design per Client's requirements. Effectively leading and driving engineering control projects with sole responsibility and accountability for project completion, within budget constrains. Effectively leading and communicating with a multi-disciplinary Engineering Team; achieving and exceeding desired results. Ensuring engineering work conforms to high technical and organizational standards to meet and exceed all requirements.

Successful Candidate will:

• Effectively manage the operational aspects of planning, formulating, and implementing a project schedule. Accomplishing project objectives to meet and/or exceed project deadlines.
• Achieve project financial objectives thru effective planning of project budget with detailed knowledge and tracking of project development budget, schedule expenditures, analyzing variances, iniating corrective active measures.
• Responsible for leading and driving the creation of complex control systems, programming, simulation and testing, and start-up assistance. High aptitude and ability to provide control logic troubleshooting and solutions.
• Competent in specifying and approving control systems equipment and process instrumentation with responsiblilty to the quality and delivery of documentation - specifications, schematics and P&ID's.
• Creation, maintenance and control of project plans and schedule with close attention to efficient allocation of workload and resources by priority and production capabilities. Anticipates problems and forms remediation plans prior to project suffrage.
• Ability to develop and cultivate professional relationships to gain project opportunities with owners, managers, and engineers.

Requirements:
• 10+ years of experience working in Controls Field as a Service Engineer or Controls Design Engineer, desiging, maintaining and troubleshooting PLC/DCS based control systems.
• Proven experience in PLC logic and programming with any of the following systems: Allen Bradley, Siemens, Yokogawa, etc.
• Proven experience in HMI or SCADA programming and configuration of any of the following software packages Wonderware, Rockwell, Siemens etc.
• Proven track record in engineering leadership with the ability to develop & implement standard practices.
• High level of experience specifying and field commissioning Motor Controls, VFD's and Instrumentation & Valves.
• Experience specifying and field commissioning Motor Controls, VFD's and Instrumentation & Valves.
• Proven knowledge of NEC, NFPA and U.L. codes.
• Experience with MS Windows based operating systems and applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with Clients and in-house support staff.
